Days:Monday-Friday and some weekends when necessary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Planning & Analyses
o Analyze marketing tools/tactics and future marketing communications trends to develop strategic, seasonal marketing programs that are new, innovative, and highly effective as we move forward.
o Perform analysis of sales and profit components of the pet treat industry, including merchandising, promotional and supply chain opportunities and present to CEO findings
o Forecast monthly and quarterly sales and effectively communicate internally for production planning
o Lead development of marketing strategy and elements of new product innovations.
o The BDM is responsible for the implementation of a broker network system, the facilitation and the success of assigned sales broker agencies, collecting business and market intelligence and writing up a go to market strategy and sales plan.
o Manage broker to implement retail initiatives and objectives, as well as to implement merchandising plans and monitor all aspects of implementation and execution to customer
Build & Manage Assigned Customer and/or Categories
o Responsible for achieving net sales targets at key customer accounts
o Build and maintain relationships within key customer contacts
o Develop strategies to drive brand and category growth and achieve or exceed sales and profit goals
o Lead negotiations for business planning, new items, key initiatives, etc.
o Manage execution of everyday business in partnership with customer, including item setup/ maintenance, logistics and inventory management, etc.
o Understand retailer marketplace and brand growth opportunities
Work with CEO to Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities to include:
o Develop relevant content topics to reach the company's target customers.
o Monitor, listen and respond to users in a "social" way while cultivating leads and sales.
o Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).
