- Coordinates trailer movements to support daily operations
- Works with internal personnel to insure trailers and materials are ready to support our customers.
- Report the status of the trailers and compliance with the logistics schedules to the logistics manager.
- Monitor and maintain records related to the equipment location, status and availability
- Works with other staff to coordinate activities between multiple shifts.
- Produce and maintain all necessary paperwork for trailer inspections/licensing.
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs.
- Data entry into the computer system
- Preforms trailer maintenance/coordinates outside service with logistic manager/vendors
- Follow safe work practices and work instructions
Skills:
- High school graduate with 1 year experience in truck and trailer operations
- Truck driving and operational skills; able to safely operate class 5 tractors and maneuver over the road trailers in and out of docks
- Computer skills- must be able to work in Microsoft office suite to maintain records
- Must have a basic understanding of logistic functions and basic understanding of products such as office paper, cardboard, containers
- Driver’s license
