Rotellas Bakery Product Development Manager

Job Description/Duties:

• Responsible for product development, solutions, and innovation activities from bench top to scale-up of formulations .
• Requires someone who is self-driven, enjoys working in a faced paced manufacturing environment, and who can work on several development assignments at the same time.
• Work closely with Rotella’s sales, plant and production managers to provide solutions and samples for various customer projects. 
• This position will support customers across the United States.
• Must have the ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; able to work effectively in a team environment across multiple business teams, as well as be a strong individual contributor.

• Customer Presentations- Schedules and coordinates customer sales presentations with sales management to introduce innovative products and new uses for existing products.

• Must have proven success in formulations, research and development, and have proven experience in managing multifaceted strategic projects.

Requirement's and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience within product development or related function from a food ingredients supplier or the baking industry
• Ability to handle work professionally, independently, and efficiently.
• Understands bakery or food science and how to apply the knowledge to consumers request
• Strong written and communication skills
• Required ability to communicate effectively with leadership skills
• Computer skills are required
• Ability and willingness to travel (10-15% as required)
• 5+ years of industry R&D experience with technical knowledge in Product Development, Bakery Manufacturing, and/or Bakery Operations.

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in food science, culinary, food engineering, and/or baking science.
