Overview:
The "Distribution Sales Employee" is responsible for collecting business intelligence and achieving assigned sales objectives. The "Distribution Sales Employee" is responsible for the retention, penetration, acquisition, and innovation of distribution accounts. This is accomplished through effective communication, best practices, and relationships to achieve sales objectives.
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8a-5p
Pay Scale: $55,000 to start
Job Duties:
  • Sales Objectives- Responsible for managing and achieving distribution sales objectives with our branded products. We achieve these through self-management, best practices and following our mission, and core values.
  • Customer Perception- Responsible for delivering positive customer perception as measured through the distribution survey.
  • Communication- Provides timely, effective, and professional communication with distribution customers and company sales management to achieve objectives and performance solutions.
  • Objective Planning- Responsible for utilizing an approved objective planner to plan, communicate, and execute planned sales objectives.
  • Market Intelligence- Responsible for collecting and reporting relevant, timely, and accurate market intelligence as determined by management.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Sales Activities: Responsible for consistent management of distribution customers to achieve plan.
  • Innovation- Responsible for achieving sales expectations regarding innovation as determined by management.
  • Customer Presentations- Delivers all distribution presentations with an approved and consistent approach. Presentations must be professionally formatted and include key features and benefits of the company and brand attributes.
  • Ambassadorship- Functions as a company ambassador and is responsible for facilitating distribution challenges in a timely manner with a solution-based approach.
  • Reporting- Reports sales performance and market intelligence on a scheduled basis to sales management.
  • Scheduling- Schedules distribution appointments as noted in the sales plan with a minimum of 30 days' notice.
  • Training - Conducts effective product meetings and training events.
  • Product Knowledge- Understands and communicates product knowledge,  features and benefits, application, and profit to distribution accounts to meet objective.
  • Industry Trade Shows- Effectively organizes and participates in trade shows to meet objective.
  • Projects- Completes and communicates requested projects as requested
  • Travel Budget- Manages a travel budget to achieve sales objectives. Reviews travel budget on a monthly basis to ensure compliance. Provides sales expense documentation as per company policy.
